Admission Process for Nevada Classical Academy Elko

Per the admission process defined in our Charter Application, Nevada Classical Academy Elko (NCAE) will not make any distinction on account of a disability, actual or perceived race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, expression of ancestry, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal state of local laws, of any student who seeks admission.  Enrollment is free and open to anyone who chooses to attend. 

General Process Statement: NCAE has an open application, admission, and enrollment (AAE) policy. All students are welcome to apply, and NCAE does not charge tuition nor discriminate against any prospective student. 

The application phase begins when an online NCAE application is completed.   All students must complete an application during the application period.   There will be a minimum application period of 45 days, dates are specified below.  A weighted lottery will occur when the number of applications exceeds the available seats (per Charter application).  

The admission phase begins when the completed application is accepted by NCAE.  NCAE will hold the lottery on the first Friday after the close of the application period.  Students who are not offered a seat will be placed on a waitlist.  Families will be notified and offered a seat by the following Friday and on a rolling basis from the waitlist. 

To enter the enrollment phase, families verbally accept the seat and begin to submit the required enrollment documents.  A student is considered enrolled in NCAE only after a complete enrollment packet is received from the family and confirmed by NCAE.

While applications are still being accepted for the 2025–2026 school year, please be aware that only a limited number of seats remain.
