Nevada Classical Academy Elko (NCAE) is still accepting applications for the 2025–2026 school year, beginning August 25, 2025. Our inaugural year will launch with grades K–3, and limited seats remain.

Admissions: If you’re interested in enrolling your child at NCAE, please visit our Admissions page to view and complete the application. You’ll also find the latest updates, dress code information and the school calendar there. NCAE is a tuition-free public charter school.

    This is a community event and we welcome everyone to attend, even if you do not have a child attending in the fall. Ribbon Cutting at 3:45pm and the formal program begins at 4:00pm.

What is Classical Education?

Classical education in the liberal arts and sciences is a framework of effective and innovative teaching methods to foster high-quality education and improve academic achievement. It is experiencing a resurgence across the country and is the preferred choice by a growing number of homeschool communities, micro-school pods, private schools, and public charter schools. The purpose of a classical education is to develop wisdom and virtue within students so they become lifelong learners capable of mastering subjects with the tools they have acquired, and also active citizens engaged in building, sustaining, and transforming the social fabric of their communities.
